Requirements:
Our Company Dancers must maintain a good attendance record, be registered in ballet class in addition to other dance forms and show a willingness to work hard to improve their technique. We recommend that the company members register in the jazz and/or creative dance class(es) in addition to the mandatory ballet class on Saturday mornings.
The Vanguard Jr. Company rehearsals will be on Mondays and Thursdays at 4:30pm to 5:45pm and will be time used for upcoming performances. Dedication to the company will be for three sessions: Fall, Winter and Spring. The cost for the company classes is $300.00. Students may pay at the beginning of fall session or in three payments at the beginning of every session. Discounts available for CAM classes if VJC member registers for 3 or more classes. Sponsorship or financial assistance programs available if needed.
About Vanguard Jr. Company
Santa Clara Vanguard is extending the opportunity for the youth in our community to grow as performers by being apart of the Vanguard Jr. Company. It comprises of dancers ages 9 to 15 who are interested in expanding artistically. The company is established to give students insight into public performance, representing the Santa Clara Vanguard Organization. Participation in the Vanguard Jr. Dance Company is by recommendation of the teacher or artistic directors.
