Children's Adventures in Movement Program Policies

Children's Adventures in Movement

Refund Policy

Because we charge only a small registration fee, the refund policy will be as follows:

  • NO REFUNDS AFTER CHILD HAS PARTICIPATED IN FIRST CLASS.
  • If the class is cancelled you will be given a FULL refund.
  • Note: while checks reserve your spot, they are not deposited until after the first class, when we are sure that the class will run.

General Policies

  • If you are going to miss a class, or know you will be a little late, please inform the teacher beforehand. The first ten minutes of class is the most important; we are warming up and introducing the premise for the day, so please try to be on time. However, if you are running late, your child will be admitted up to 5 minutes late ONLY.
  • Please plan to be at the facility to pick up your child BEFORE class ends.
  • Parents are allowed to watch the FIRST CLASS ONLY. Please respect that the teacher and students need time to develop a relationship. If there is a special circumstance, please discuss it with the teacher. This policy is on a 'per student' basis for children 4-5 years old.
  • For Concerts in the spring, or other performances that are not at the Vanguard hall, a signed permission slip will be required, and at least one adult parent or guardian will need to be present for the performance.
  • Children who are enrolled in more than one class should bring a snack, and all students should bring a water bottle.
  • Teacher reserves the right to speak with parent regarding proper class placement of student, and any behavioral issues.
  • While there is no strict dress code, a neat appearance is desirable for all dance classes. Children should wear comfortable clothing that is not restrictive. Sweats or tights are fine. Hair should be tied back and out of the way. Jewelry should be removed before class. We urge you to allow them to be barefoot during creative classes, as the floors may be slippery when they run. Ballet, Tap, and Dance Sneakers may be worn for their respective classes, but are not required. When possible, CAM will try to provide shoes for those who cannot afford them.
